PRecycling Project Shines at Plastainability 2023 Conference
The Plastainability 2023 Conference took place at the National Centre for Scientific Research "DEMOKRITOS" in Athens on November 21st, and it was a pivotal gathering, echoing the urgent call to rethink the approach to plastics. The conference was organised by the Association of Hellenic Plastics Industries (AHPI), and it served as a platform to spotlight the crucial role of sustainable plastics management in tackling contemporary environmental challenges.
Among the presentations, the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) showcased the PRecycling Project and demonstrated innovative strides in revolutionising sustainable practices in plastic management.
During the event, the NTUA team emphasised the pressing need for precise regulations and cost-effective approaches for plastics recycling and reuse. Their contribution underscored the collaborative effort required from both industries and national governments to pave the way for a sustainable future.
One of the highlights of the conference was a presentation of the PRecycling Project made by NTUA’s representatives, who shared the latest insights and advancements from the project. Additionally, STRATAGEM's participation in disseminating crucial findings further amplified the significance of the project in redefining the framework of sustainable plastic management practices.
The conference served as a catalyst for fostering dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among experts, industry leaders, and researchers passionate about addressing the challenges posed by plastics. The collective effort exhibited by all participants, from highlighting innovative projects like PRecycling, to discussing strategies for a sustainable future, marked a pivotal step forward in the global mission to tackle plastics’ waste pollution.
The event's success stands as evidence of the commitment of individuals and organisations striving to rethink plastics and pave the way for a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
